Green with Envy in Lakewood, OH

This Victorian home built in 1894 had many eclectic updates, but a large primary bathroom was totally missing. Our client needed a much larger bath but we were limited with space. We took a connecting guest bedroom and enlarged the bathroom into half of that space, leaving the other half to become a walk-in closet (See “Garden Party!” project). A load bearing wall that originally separated the guest bedroom from the bath couldn’t be fully removed. We designed the large bath to have separate areas for the bath and shower and another area for the vanities and commode. To keep in line with the Victorian style of the home, classic traditional fixtures were selected. Plumbing fixtures in a polished brass finish nod to the original style of plumbing in the Victorian era. The main showstopper though? A beautiful emerald tile, handmade and imported from England.
