Garden Party! in Lakewood, OH

This Victorian home built in 1894 had many eclectic updates, but a large walk-in closet was missing. Our client needed a much larger closet, but was limited with space. We took half of a guest bedroom and transformed it into a walk-in closet, leaving the other half to become a bathroom (See “Green with Envy” project). Bold colors were evident from the client’s wardrobe, and we loved it! Bold floral patterns were selected as a nod to a traditional Victorian print, but modernized for today. We couldn’t resist covering the ceiling in a beautiful multi-color painterly printed floral paper. We anchored the ceiling with bold floral area rugs, a splash of animal print on the bench, and dramatic black and white striped window treatments. The client’s antique club chair was reupholstered in a vivid emerald velvet with a contrasting floral print back and perfectly preserved original nail heads.
