Romantic Academia in Lakewood, OH

Designer: Sean Carter, ASID Allied

Designed by Sean, an expressive study in color, pattern, and personality, this project draws inspiration from the rich, layered world of dark academia while embracing a fearless approach to eclectic design.

Deep sapphire blues, dramatic charcoal tones, vibrant fuchsia, and lush botanical patterns create interiors that feel intimate, collected, and unapologetically individual. Traditional architectural detailing provides a timeless foundation, while richly textured furnishings, statement-making textiles, curated artwork, and unexpected color combinations bring a fresh, contemporary sensibility to each space.

Designed for clients who appreciate bold design and aren't afraid to embrace color, the result is a home that feels both sophisticated and delightfully unconventional. Moody yet inviting, traditional yet unexpected, every room tells its own story while contributing to a cohesive vision rooted in character, craftsmanship, and individuality.
